Homesteading Courses

Homestead dreams but unsure where to begin? Let's get you started.

Canning course: This is a lesson that takes place in your own kitchen, the easiest place for you to learn in a way that will stick. We'll work with the supplies you own (a supplies list is provided), and foods you will actually want to eat! This can include learning where to shop for bulk crops or meat, or using what you've grown yourself. We will go over safe, scientifically backed canning methods and completely finish an entire canning session.

Chicken butchering course: So you've raised out these beautiful chickens, and now they're fully grown. How do you safely and humanely send them off to freezer camp? We're here to help. We'll come to your farm and teach you all there is to know, as well as providing a materials list to make the process a breeze. By the end of the day, you'll have chickens on ice, fully ready for the freezer.

New garden course: You've got room to grow now, but where to begin? Let's figure out the best location, best preparation method for your situation, and your personal goals for the garden. Next, we'll make a materials list and launch into growing! This course is not limited to a single session, but all garden season. We can even dip into season extension when the time comes.

Leather breeches course: No, we aren't making pants. Learn the old method of preserving the bean harvest! We'll make beautiful ropes of cured green beans that will see you through the winter.

All courses are pay what you can. I do ask for travel costs, and that you consider my time. I take this payment approach style to ensure knowledge is accessible to anyone on any income level.

The $5 fee is to reserve your spot on my schedule, for full payment please use PayPal, Venmo, or Cash. Thank you so much for supporting our farm!
