Kitchen Witch Cast Iron & Woodware Restoration Services
Cast Iron, Carbon Steel, and Woodware all have one thing in common; Seasoning. Seasoning has nothing to do with flavor, or not using a particular soap. Seasoning in reference to pans refers to polymerized oils, oils that have undergone extreme heat and have formed a hard, nearly non-stick layer of protection on your pans, baking sheets, and griddles. Seasoning on wooden spoons, cutting boards, serving bowls, and butcher blocks refers to protective and moisturizing oils or waxes that are added to the oil to prevent the wood from splitting or degrading.
We offer complete restoration and re-seasoning of all cast iron as long as it is not rusted through.
We offer cleaning, mild reshaping, and re-seasoning of all woodware.
